Center for Legal Research and Resource Development, CeLRRd, a nonprofit making national level NGO working to promote Access to justice for community people for more than three decades in Nepal. The project is generously supported by the United States Agency for International Development (USAID) under the community justice project. Under this project, CeLRRdinvites qualified candidate for this position to work in its center office and program locations (Madesh Province and Lumbini province). Initially, the appointment will be for a period of one year, with the possibility of further extension.

Location: Kathmandu based with frequent visit to Province and Districts
Duties and responsibility of Project Coordinator: –
To enhance the capacity of local judicial committees to promote community justice in local levels and building close coordination with donor, other partner agencies, stakeholders and community people;
To develop basic mediation training materials and refresher training materials,
Conducting the basic mediation and refresher trainings to prepare skillful human resources to make the community justice project successful,
Conducting designated activities related to mediation in the project area and to do necessary coordination with related stakeholders,
Develop Project progress report quarterly, semi-annually and annually and submit it to the director, donor agencies and partner agencies as per the requirement;
Make regular field visit to ensure the smooth implementation of the program as per the direction of director;
To follow the duties and responsibilities as assigned by the job description and organization’s policy;
To maintain the confidentiality of the organization;
Director will be responsible for monitoring and evaluating the performances under the project;
Make inter organizational correspondences as per the direction of the Director;
Provide logistics support in conducting community mediation trainings, other trainings and interaction as required;
Perform other activities wherever and whenever necessary in relation to the project as per the direction of Director.
Academic Qualifications and Experiences: –
Master’s degree in Law and related field
At least 5 years of experience on handling the mediation program and work experiences with USAID project will be assets
Good skills on writing training manuals, training delivery, monitoring and evaluation
Good coordination skills
Fluent in Nepali and English languages with good analytical and report writing skills
Proficiency in Power Point, Microsoft Word, excel Nepali, and English typing.
