In 2014, the Ministry of Education released budget for the construction of new building of Devi Secondary School located at Tetariya VDC in Morang district. School management Committee called a meeting to form a construction committee that would look after the whole construction. For that they had to agree on somebody’s name to take the leadership, but for the fear of corruption, they didn’t have consensus on any person. Now all-party meeting was called on the next day, wherein after so much of discussions and debates on other proposed names, there reached an agreement on Gunawati Dhami, Coordinator of Tetariya CMC to chair the committee. Dhami, a mediator turned community leader was trained few years back on community mediation. She was one of such participants who hesitated even to introduce herself in front of participants out of fear was unanimously told to shoulder the construction task, Ganesh Luitel, the mediation trainer in Morang district expressed.
