CeLRRd is Implementing Hamro Samman project since five years with the goal to reduce the prevalence of Trafficking-in-Persons (TIP) in Nepal. The project is generously supported by the United States Agency for International Development (USAID). Under this project CeLRRd provides legal aid to trafficking survivors and at-risk people, as well as to build up the capacity of law enforcement and local government to investigate and prosecute TIP cases. The activities under this grant will be implemented primarily in Nepal’s Bagmati Province (Makwanpur, Kathmandu, Sindhupalchok), and Lumbini Province (Banke, Bardiya and Rupandehi).
Job Title: M&E Officer
Fixed Term Contract: 15th May 2023 to 13th December 2023
Location: Kathmandu based with frequent visit to Districts
Duties and Responsibilities
M&E officer will have the following duties and responsibilities:
Monitor and evaluate the implementation of all project activities in relation to project plan and goal;
Develop and update M&E plan through in-house consultation and conduct monitoring and evaluation in a regular basis as per the plan;
Monitor and evaluate overall progress on achievement of results;
Monitor the sustainability of the project’s results;
Collect project progress report from field offices periodically, compile them and submit it to the project coordinator;
Collect data and information from District Offices, verify data against event/progress report and enter them in database;
Extract data and reports when needed;
Monitor and analyze database and data systems;
Maintain data quality on activities that meets the standard set out by the organization;
Collect reports, case stories and other relevant information for organization website and update it regularly;
Required skill and competencies
Master degree in any relevant field, preference will be given to law and gender studies;
Minimum 2 years of experience in development projects, report writing especially in Monitoring and evaluation/data management functions (collection, analysis, distribution etc.);
Demonstrates leadership and management skills,
Ability to multitask,
Takes initiative,
Creative problem-solving skills,
Flexible, Organized, Collaborative, &
Excellent Communication skills
Understanding and experience with modern database and information system technologies;
Expertise in analyzing data using statistical software;
Proficient in MS Office (Excel, Access, Word etc.);

Good time-management skills;
